Hopefully the information on this page will help you decide which one of our RC Toys is right for you. When you are looking to buy an RC toy it is important to consider the after-sales backup - both in availability of spares and technical support if you do have problems.

At RC TOYS DIRECT we do our best to ensure we have all spare parts in stock that you may need. We also have a fast delivery service and prices that cannot be beaten on genuine RC products. We also supply a great help service for all our customers.

We would warn against buying RC helicopters on eBay or from discount web sellers - although they may appear cheaper you're unlikely to get any after-sales support; purchases from overseas sellers are likely to incur import taxes when the package eventually arrives.

Buying a gift or want an easy-to-fly model helicopter?

We recommend one of our small 3 channel gyro helicopters as a good place to start. They give a great flying experience and anyone can simply take off, hover and land. Need more power and performance?

We have a number of great 4 channel helicopters now in stock. 4 channels give the helicopter outstanding manoeuvrability and let the pilot to perform many more in flight tricks. Although much harder to fly than one of the new 3 channel helicopters; a 4 channel with time is much more rewarding. Most of our new 4 channel helicopters have built in gyro systems making them much easier to fly than 4 channel helicopters from even 60 months ago. Other information to consider

We recommend co-axle helicopters i.e. 2 sets of blades turning in the opposite direction. Although single blade helicopters look great they without doubt are one of the hardest RC models to master. I personally have destroyed a number of them in a number of spectacular crashes. I now do not even consider a single blade helicopter as the fun for me is to get flying without any stress and have a good time.

All of our helicopters are pre-built and ready to fly. Simply insert the batteries into the controller, have a quick read of the instructions and away you go. On some of our models you may need to insert the aerial into the receiver, which is very simple to do and needs no tools.

We have a large selection of small cars to choose from. Most have a ‘wheel controller’ where you steer the car via a small steering wheel on controller. This wheel controller is by far the easiest way to operate a RC car and can be mastered within minutes. A great place to start is with one of our 1/28 scale battery cars.
